- Cheap

- No cables at all, so you can't use this unless you buy (or already own) the proper cables

- I probably could've looked more into this before buying it, but it comes with absolutely no cables. Thankfully I was able to use the cables from my old PC for this and I didn't have any kind of delay from building.

Every other part I've gotten - CPU and motherboard specifically, but fans as well - all came with the appropriate cables and/or screws needed to properly install and use the part. It was just highly disappointing not getting anything with this part.

Otherwise, it works the way it should!

Great drive

As others have posted drive is silent when burning. As silent as can be when drive is reading.

Not really a weakness because it could be the discs I use but takes longer then my LG burner to recognize discs. Then again this is mesured in seconds so not a big deal.

As a bonus that I'm not sure if its always included was nero 10 oem. Its not full version but you do get the essentials which in reality is what most people use anyhow.

soooooooooo quiet couldn't hear it same as other reviewer weather it's reading or writing cd or dvd or dvd dl so glad I picked it up. very good drive. great price preformance ratio.

only weakness it doesn't have lightscribe but I can deal with that.

Completely silent!

Totally silent drive during burning and loading of discs. I previously suffered through the incredible noise of a pioneer dvd burner thinking it was somewhat normal to make a ton of whirring noise during loading and burning. Then, I installed this drive and I had to check to see if it was actually burning because there was exactly zero audible sound coming from it. Fantastic drive!
